The Purrdy Burrdy Dress

Are you ready for Dolly Clackett #3? Hope so, cause here it is!

The Purrdy Burrdy Dress! Even the dog is amazed!

I found this fabric on eBay and bid my heart out. It's called Birds of the Air, Michelle Palmer, 2006.

I'm wearing a vintage pettie with it, that I also found on eBay. Yippee for eBay!

The boots are Dr Marten's Darcys. Yep, those are leggings, not skin, although I can see how you might confuse the two.

Can you tell we had a good time with the photos? :)

Just look at that purrdy "hand done" hem!

And that purrdy puppy who just loved photo bombing when ever possible!

... ... ... And the purrdy flowers! Spring has sprung folks!

And then there's my fantastic photographer! Notice the flowers behind the ears. Totally into the photo shoot!

I'll leave you with some bloopers, and yes, incase you didn't know, all dogs aren't exactly photogenic just like me some people.

So what do you think? Is he scrubbing his neck with those flowers?!? Is the dress a possible winner?

I hope-a-hope-a-hope!

  1. Possible winner? It's a total winner!!! I adore the fabric...okay, let's be real here...all your dresses are made from impossibly cute fabrics! I haven't started my Dolly dress yet, and fear I will be so sadly disappointed by dreary fabric choices. You've set the bar too high. But I will try!

  2. Thank you for your comments. :) I can't wait to see your dress and know, if you're making a Dolly Clackett, it won't be dreary at all! Happy sewing!

    1. Yes, you were right about the fabric not being dreary at all! I had my eye on a fabric that I had seen a couple of weeks ago...it's actually extremely similar to yours with birds and flowers...and although I carried a couple of other bolts around the store for awhile today, it was the one I bought. Now, to get to the business of sewing.
